J'attend avec impatience...

D'accord, c'est presque le temps pour moi de partir... Juste une semaine a DePauw avant que je rentre chez moi pour les vacances et après ça... Je vais être dans un avion qui arrête a Paris... Je sais que je n'écris pas parfaite en Français... mais il va être intéressante de voir m'améliorais de la langue française, quand je suis a Paris. Je sais aussi que, pour les plupart, les personnes qui vont lire ce blog ne lisent pas le français... mais je vais essayer d'écrire en Français pour moi-même, et après ça, si j'ai le temps, je traduirai pour ma famille et mes amis aux États- Unis. Maintenant c'est l'heure de recommencer avec mes devoirs, mais après le fin du semestre... Allez, Viens!

Ok.. Its almost time for me to leave... Just one week at DePauw before I go home for vacation and after that... I will be on an airplane that Stops in Paris... I know that I don't write perfect french but it is going to be interesting to see my improvments with the french language when I am in Paris. I also know that for the most part, the people who are going to read this blog don't read french... but I am going to try to write in french for myself, and after that when if I have time, I will translate for my family and my friends in the United States. Now, its time to get back to my homework but after the end of the semester... Let's Go!

Some notes:

The title of the Blog "Allez, viens" was also the title of my beloved high school french text book for many years... and it means something along the lines of "Come on, Let's Go!" and I thought tthat it would be a good title for this blog since, I want you all to join me on my adventures... and my motto in life with new things and adventures is always, "Allez, viens!" so now you know about that.

Also, below here is the email I sent to the woman I will be staying with, whose name is Marie, and she seems very nice. I don't know how much everybody cares about any of this... but read what you want... and all of this is really a journal for me to to remember and reflect on my time spent in Paris this semester. I can't wait!

J’attends avec impatience vous rencontrer! Merci beaucoup pour votre hospitalité! Je suis étudiante à DePauw University, une Université en Indiana. Je me spécialise en les études de conflit et aussi la langue française. J’ai vingt ans, et j’étais à Paris pour une semaine quand j’étais au lycée. J’adore la cité et je suis impatiente pour explorer Paris. Je vais faire un stage à L’Institute du Monde Arabe qui commence le 1 de Mars. Il n’est pas nécessaire m’écrire en anglais, je parle et lis le français, et j’ai besoin de pratiquer ! Je vais arriver à Paris le 15 Janvier dans le matin. Probablement, je viendrai à votre appartement à 12h00, si vous voulez être présente quand j’arrive. Je vous envoyer les détails quand je les reçois. Si vous avez d’autres questions pour moi, n’hésitez pas de me demander !
